Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This page explains, in plain language, what Trade Show Association collects when you use this site, why we collect it, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in, our sign-in provider (Clerk) gives us your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We never see your password.
- Application and show details. What you enter when you apply as an organizer or submit a show, such as your business name, contact details, show dates, venue, and safety plans.
- Uploaded documents. Files you upload, such as a certificate of insurance. These are stored privately and are not public.
- Report submissions. What you write when you report a concern. Your name and contact details are optional. We keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address to limit spam, not your actual address.
Why we collect it
- To run your account and let you sign in.
- To review organizer applications and shows against our standards.
- To publish sanctioned shows in the public directory and on verify pages.
- To look into reported concerns and contact you if you asked us to.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
Who sees it
- The public sees only what we publish for sanctioned shows, such as the show name, dates, location, organizer business name, and seal status.
- Our admins only can see private documents, application details, and report submissions.
- Service providers that run the site for us (hosting, database, file storage, and sign-in) process data only to provide those services.
- We may share information if the law requires it.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information. Some records, such as past sanction decisions, may need to be kept to keep the program fair and honest.
